Who we are

RiverPoker operates RIVER Poker and is the data controller for the personal data described here.

Data we collect and why

Account data (email, name, sign-in details): to create your account and provide hosting — legal basis: performance of a contract.

Table data (nicknames, chip counts, actions): to run games — contract.

Camera, microphone and card images: video is sent peer-to-peer between players and not stored; card images are processed by AI to read cards — contract and your consent, which you can withdraw by turning off your camera.

Technical data (IP address, device and usage data): for security, fraud prevention and improving the service — legitimate interests.

Support messages: to answer you — legitimate interests.

Sharing

We share data only with: service providers that host and run the service (hosting, database, AI processing); Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling subscriptions, payments, tax compliance and invoicing; professional advisers; and authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Game tables are deleted when disbanded. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and restricted access to private card data.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority. We respond within one month.

Cookies

We use only essential storage needed for sign-in and app preferences. No advertising cookies.
